- Benefit Spaghetti Supper For Franklin Soccer
Franklin Area Soccer Association is hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at Tilt'n Diner on Thursday., March 25th from 5-8pm. Each dinner includes spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread and a beverage for $8.99. $5.00 from every dinner will go to Franklin Area Soccer Association to raise funds to purchase warm-up suits for the Franklin High School Soccer team. - Irish music, dance and laughter
The Laconia Putnam Fund will present, free to the public, a celebration of Irish music, song dance and laughter as Tony Kenny and the Dublin City Dancers take to the stage at the Laconia High School Auditorium on Thursday, March 25. The show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and the best seats will be had by those who arrive earliest. Also performing will be Irish comedian Richie Hayes.
- Old Time Rules Will Prevail: The Fiddle Contest in NH and New England
A historical view of fiddle contests in New Hampshire and New England and how they have evolved. Some fiddle music will be played. Presented by Hill Historical Society through a grant by the NH Humanities Council.
- Opechee Garden Club 4th Annual Art 'n Bloom
The public is invited to the Opechee Garden Club 4th Annual Art 'n Bloom at the Gilford Public Library, Potter Hill Road, Gilford. Come and enjoy an early spring treat of arts and flowers. OGC members select their artwork, either using local artists or any type of artwork they wish, as an inspiration and add their interpretation in using natural flowers or plants in colors, shapes, textures or form in their composition of arrangements. - Teen Advisory Committee
Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to meet in the Volpe Room to discuss what types of materials and programs they feel the Library should offer.
- Wine tasting seminar and gourmet dinner
Wine tasting seminar and gourmet dinner at Fratello's will benefit Laconia Adult Education program
Laconia Adult Education and Fratello's Ristorante Italiano invite one and all to attend a "Wine Tasting Seminar and Gourmet Dinner" on Thursday, March 25. The Wine Tasting event will be held at Fratello's Ristorante on Union Ave. from 6 to 9 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for people in the Lakes Region to enjoy a treat that will satisfy the wine connoisseur's pallet while savoring a delectable meal and dessert that compliment the wines being served.
The "Wine Tasting Seminar" will focus on the different aspects of wine culture, including an overview and history of the wine, which accompanies each course. The various culinary creations to be served will enhance the flavor of the wine that it is paired with.
The price for the seminar $45 per person. Reservations for this event are required and can be made by calling the Laconia Adult Education Offi ce at 524-5712.
