We're sorry.

The Make the Move Walking Club will not taking place this year.

Thank you to all who took part in our kick-off walk on May 6th, 2006.

We had a great turn-out with 58 walkers present! Remember, throughout the month of May, the walking club meets for a self-guided walk at 8:30am at the Winnipesaukee Trail in Northfield. It is a four mile walk roundtrip from the start of the trail to Cross Mill Road and back. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and bring insect repellant just in case.

During the month of June, the walking club will meet at Franklin Falls Dam off of route 127 in Franklin. This walk is 1.5 miles on a tar surface. For directions, please call 934-2060 ext. 369 or reply to this e-mail.

For those who have not yet received a t-shirt there are still plenty remaining. T-shirts will be available at the June 3rd walk at Franklin Falls Dam or if you would like to pick one up at Franklin Regional Hospital you can arrange to do so by calling 934-2060 ext. 369.

Remember, at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day is recommended for all. Walking can be a great component of your physical activity routine!

Hope to see you
on the trails!

Franklin Walks for the Health of It!

May 12th, at 8am on the Winnipesaukee River Trail in downtown Franklin

We are going to get Community Day "off on the right foot" with this great opportunity to explore one of our great resources in our area for walking, hiking, and biking!

Spring into action with a fun walk or run on the Winnipesaukee River Trail!

The Healthy Heart for Life Project invites individuals, families, or business teams to take part in this event.

Weather permitting, we are planning to meet at the Trail Head across from Trestle View Park in downtown Franklin. Walk or run to Cross Mill Road and back with our walk leader, Fred Caruso from Mix 94.1FM! Afterwards, stay and enjoy Choose Franklin Community Day activities! Pre-registration is not necessary.
